Kamie: Death and Youtube

So I'm going through a lot at the time. My brother just passed away on Saturday which has been difficult for me. along with my terrible sickness and my terrible load of homework and exams. Slowly I'm getting through with all of that and am working on calming down my schedule some more.

Um, I've had a new book/writing idea and have been working through it. I'm also thinking about posting a poem that expresses how I've felt after my brother's death. It's called Dreamlike Death ((I believe it's not by me at the second)).

I honestly can't wait to do the whole Youtube thing. I think it'll be fun, and I've always wanted to do a vlog thing. I'm pretty sure most of you know it, but if you have a webcam feel free to add me on Skype. Just let me know if you'd ever want to. I'm slowly getting through with everything and I'm sorry I haven't been on lately, I'll slowly be on more and more each day. I'll post more about my writing pieces and everything later.

Best Wishes
~Kamiella Maze

Kas: YouTube!

Okay guys, I know the blogs been pretty quiet for the past week or so, but it's time to change that!

This week is officially the first week of the YouTube channel! Yay! Hahaha.

Some of you may not be able to participate yet, or even at all. But if you can, comment and let me know, so that I can make a recent videos page on the blog, where we can link to our most recent videos.

Heather, I haven't talked to you, so i don't know if you've gotten the camera yet... I sent it a week and a half ago, so you might not have.I'm waiting for you to log on now so i can ask youuuu. :)

Okay, so I think maybe I should go over everything that i've figured out, just so everyone's on the same page.

We will have themes, most likely every week. I know some people said we should only have them sometimes, but I feel like the group needs structure, or we'll end up not making the videos. However, some weeks will have very loose themes, like talk about writing, etc. And there will be some where the theme is pretty restricting where we know exactly what to do, like take us to your favorite place.

You can upload your video pretty much whenever you like throughout the week. However, try to upload the weeks video before the week is over... to avoid confusion about themes.

The titles of the videos will be similar to post titles,

EX:
Kas: (Title of video.)

The descriptions, however, can say whatever you like. But you have to write;

Week 1: (Theme of the week)

at the top of the description, and then whatever else you want to say underneath it.

This way it's easy to keep everything organized and not confusing.

Of course, everyone doesn't have to participate in every week, but I've decided that as a way to keep everyone motivated, i'm going to make the youtube a contest of sorts. Every month, I'm going to record how many videos each person has made, there should be four a month if everything goes as planned, and then every three months, those people who made the most videos get either a t-shirt, or whatever other prizes i can think of.

Also, I think I'm going to do a seperate contest on the youtube as well. Every Sunday, we'll have an anonymous vote on who has made the best video that week and that person will get a point, at the end of the three months, the person with the most points will get a prize. I thought it would be a good way to reward the person that has consistently worked hard and made good videos.

From now on, the weeks will begin on Monday and end on Sunday, so if you want to make a video for the week, try your hardest to have it up by Sunday night if at all possible. We'll do the anonymous vote on Sunday, and we'll assign the theme for the next week on Sunday as well. I'll tell everyone the winner of the anonymous vote on Monday, and we'll have a page to keep track of everything.

I'll keep everything updated, though, so none of you need to worry about it. That way we can be sure that no one adds their own point and then i end up adding another without realizing.

Alright, so the theme of this week is going to be make a video about writing. It can be like Nat's video which is here, it could just be you talking about what writing means to you, it can be anthing you like really. Just make it about writing. :)

Alright, if you're going to participate at all in the YouTube, please leave a comment on this post so that I know who to add to the lists and such on the pages. You can start posting your videos as soon as you like!

Good Luck!

-Kas.

NED. Hahaha Caps Lock.

Right, so I'm still writing 'Let's Just Pretend' which is super mega awesome. loljk. But it is a lot of fun to write. <3<3<3

And I've started watching the American Horror Story, which is AMAZING. Like OHMYGOD. Haha.

And that was a really short update, but I can't wait till february first when everyone has no excuse not to be online and we get to start making videos!

Kamie: I have an excuse, I promise!

So I've been terribly sick, put on with terrible hw, and have been so busy that I can't even explain. I just wanted to let everyone know. I'll try and get on later and make an actual posting... my apologies!

Cori: I know, I know, I haven't been posting...

I just haven't felt like blogging lately. In fact, I haven't felt like doing ANYTHING lately. So there - no excuses, no long stories, just: I didn't feel like getting on. Don't feel like I forgot about you guys or something.
I haven't been writing lately. To be honest, I haven't since my teacher was talking about different jobs, and went on to say that being a writer is a complete waste of time, and that everyone who tries to be one is going to be a bum in life.
So, there. I posted.

Maiah: UMMMM YEAH HI

Hellllllllllloooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
Wow. I haven't been on here in a really long time.
Some of you might have thought I died or something, or like went away to China for three years or ya know...something like that. But no.
I haven't been on in so long or posted at all because I've been going through a lot the past year and I've just been trying to recover from a lot of things. I don't want to bore you by making a big list of excuses as to why I haven't been on. The only important thing is that I'm back now!
As for my writing and all that.... um yeah I haven't been doing a lot of that. I've been writing poems though! And I even wrote a song! That's pretty much all I have done within pretty much the past year...hahaha...sad.
Well I'll update you guys later. Hopefully I'll be able to post some of my writing. :)
Bye!

Ned. :(

You all disappeared again. :(

Ned. Wrote a Poem?

Why do I randomly keep writing cute little things? I don't know. Don't ask because you will get that answer. lol.
So basically my life is like... really weird right now. I'm so sick that I'm delirious with a fever, but someone my mind is turning sick into muse. I really can't figure it out.
Though, I am having problems because, my throat is like mega*insertswearwordendinginING*soar and I can't talk... Legitimently lost my voice.

Anyhoot
Here's the poem, sort of a tim burton-y style.

In the small town of Primson one waits to be wed.

From the time you are born the idea sits in your head.

For girls the dress matters, it matters the most.

For boys, a pretty girl, about whom they can boast.

In the small town of Primson the people are vain.

They themselves? Heavenly. You? Mundane.

Every lady is lovely, elegant and smart.

Every gentleman, chivalrous with a big heart.

In the small town of Primson they need lots of rope.

For when you are wed, you will never elope.

You shall never divorce, this they make sure.

The day you marry, the ceremony you shall endure.

In the small town of Primson life expectancy is low,

No one is quite sure why, although...

I have a feeling it has to do with this little fact,

On the day of their weddings there’s this special act.

After you're married there is no time to gloat,

by the time its all over you’ll hang from your throat.

Ned: A weird, confusing idea.

Hello hello pretty people<3

Right, so remember when we were all going to write something together? Like a group thing?
I was really excited for that and then as Kas put it "that idea kind of fizzled out." :(

So anyway, I was thinking about that, and then, I sort of came up with an idea to organize it so it doesn't fizzle out.

What if we had like a basic setting. Small town, high school, then we all came up with our own character.

It could be anything from super rich b*tch, to quiet nerdy girl. The point is to make them as original as possible though, so if they are based on a cliché, make sure they have some sort of secrets and stuff that makes them a little different.

Once we all had a character and knew all the basics about who they were we could show them to everyone else and figure out who would be friends with who and who would hate who. The story would sort of be like... gossip girl? Like a whole lot of drama fun. <3 lol. Did that make sense?

Then if we want we can add supernatural, or scifi, or whatever into the story to make it more interesting to write.

So yeah. I hope that made sense to all of you.

Comment if you wanna do it, I think it will be a lot of fun. <3

Heather: Hehehe...

So, I want to write a short story.
I've wanted to for a while, and Ned's writing of one kind of made me want to do it even more! Haha.
I'm going to be crazy busy over the next week, as I have exams coming up, a project worth 30% of my mark, and a play that I'll be putting on Thursday through Sunday. After school every day (for dress rehearsals) except Thursday and Friday, when I won't even be at school, from 5 to 10:30 I'll be at the theatre too. So, since there seems to be no time to work on Silver, I figured I could write/plot the short story backstage and give myself something to do, haha.
But... I don't know what to do. What I've all but decided on though, is that I'd like to do something where I take a historic event, and rewrite how it came to be, you know? For example, I read one like that about Cleopatra on inkpop, and after she was killed the snake had just been planted on her.
And, that's about it.
Maybe we should do a short story challenge?
-H

Heather: But Secretly Kas.

I'm back!
And now, Kas came up with an idea for themes in the videos that I really liked, and obviously she did too, but she needs to help her sister with something, so she asked me to post for her.
So, the idea is basically :
Kasdee K: What if each week we pick some form of writing, a quote or a poem or a song, and then each interpret it in our own way. It would be a lot of fun to see the differences in everyone's videos. It could just be one week, or we could do it a few times...
^^ Word for word what she said. I like it. Do you like it? :O

-H

Ned. Wrote a short story.

Yep.
Its for a contest but I'd love to get your opinions on it.
I'm going to be posting it on OSAAWAKMS later and updating this post around that time to.
Right now though my sister is bombarding me trying to get me off the computer.
So I gotta go.
Bye!
Ned.
EDIT.
Alright, lol. I'm back.
SO- I thought I'd give you a heads up. I'm posting the short story now. Please help me with grammar and let me know if you like it?

Also- There are some journal entries- you don't get to read all of them. Lol. It goes from one to seven. I only tell you because it confused both people who've read it previously. Which leads me to my biggest question, how can I make sure people don't think they skipped pages?

Thanks
-Ned.

Kas: I'm giving Heather....

My old camera. Yeah, Shmeather, I lied. It is a camera. And there s nothing you can do about it.

You see, she only has a webcam, and I have this nifty little camera... So I'm sending it to her! :)

We'll now be able to see your face in high resolution, so technically its a gift to us all... :)

It's kind of old and scratched up, but thats because it was my camera before i got my shiny pretty new awesome one. hahahaha. So, yeah, I'll be shipping this on Monday, and hopefully it gets there before we start the youtube. :)

-K

Kas: YouTube.

Okay, so since a few of you have said that you do want to re-boot the youtube channel, I've decided we should!

I think we should do a sort of theme-a-week thing, where we have a diferent topic each week, and we can make videos about it. Now, the question is should we do it in a schedule where everyone has a day like we did with the posts, or should we just leave it up to everyone on when they want to make and upload their video.?  I'm kind of torn, since I think we're more likely to remember and actually make the video if we have a specific day during the week, but we all also can't really know which day of the week we'll have the time... So opinions?

I think we should start the first week of February, if everyone can. Thats in 2 weeks, so i'm hoping all of your exams will be over with.

We also need to come up with a theme for the first week. I was thinking it could be something like what does writing mean to you? You could do something like Ashton's video or just you talking about writing, or anything really...

Any other theme ideas?

-Kas

Cori tried Nutella for the first time!

It was awesome. So was my very first Monster - the red Assault kind xD! I've been hanging out with my friends a lot; during exam week, we get to leave school early. The schedule is basically: get to school, do one exam, do another, and then leave. On Wednesday I got out at 9:40 and walked to my friend Amanda's house.
We're not allowed to walk, but whatever, right? We DID get a ride part of the way there, though - my friend Taryn stuck her head out one of the windows and was like, "What the hell are you guys doing?! Get in the car!"
Speaking of going to Amanda's house...She has a video camera. So does my friend Miah. So as soon as I make a Youtube account, you're going to have quite a few videos on your hands. Pretty awesome, right?

Cori: I hate writer's block.

I think that's all I really need to say. Oh, and I'm freezing cold...

Nicole: Quick update

I just got home from work really late (againnn) and I'm about to head to bed, but first I thought I'd quickly update. The other day after I posted for the first time in ages, I got a new idea that I really loved and I thought it was a lot more unique than what I usually go for, and then I wrote about half of my first chapter which was exciting.

These last couple of days though I've hectically been working and I actuallycompletely forgot about it. I was so upset when I realised, I was like what the eff is up with me!? So, back to writing again this weekend that I have off!

Thursday, January 12, 2012

Kas: May have figured it out. :)

So.. As i said before, I've recently been thinking about different ways that we could get SAAWAKM up and running again. Even though everyone does seem to be posting a lot more. :)

So, the first idea, which Ned mentioned in her post, is to re-boot the YouTube channel. :) I know last time we only did one week, and then no one touched it again, haha, but I really love the idea. I also got a awesome new professional camera for christmas. :)

If you may want to do the YouTube channel as well, I think the best way to start it off would be to have a contest. I love watching videos about writing and other things on YouTube, and Nat I loved yours, so I thought that could be a good contest. Everyone make a video about something. It doesn't have to be writing... and then we can have an anonymous vote on who wins. That person will get an undetermined prize, of course. Because we all know how much I love to buy things. :)

I'd like to have a different contest on the YouTube, maybe something simpler? But I have no ideas, so give me some! :D

Also, for the actual blog, I think we should have a contest here as well. Because I know there are some people who aren't allowed to participate in the YouTube channel. So, for that contest, I'm not sure if it should be about writing, or not. Because I know there are some people who haven't been writing as much lately, and Heather and I work together so it would give us a very unfair advantage.

I do, however, want it to be more of a longer contest. maybe a month long? and there could be different ways to earn yourself points... And at the end, the person with the most points wins whatever prize i eventually figure out. Haha. But, i don't really knwo what the things for people to do could be... Ideas?

So, yeah, I know there weren't any complete ideas in this post, but I need your help with this guys! :D

So, commmmmeeeeennnnnnttttt. ? :)

-Kas

Ned: Cori made me Sick.

Lols, I kid. I don't think you can get sick over the internet.
But I have like an awful cold at the moment. :(

Oh the plus side, I was watching tv the other day- and I was like "OHMYGOD! I COULD TOTALLY USE THIS IN UNWANTED!" And than my mother was like... "Fringe?"
and I was like "Noooooo- Uhm- Something else."
Cause I'd zoned out and had been thinking about sewers... lol. <
So anyway I instantly got on the computer and started writing!

I also got a new camera for boxing day so I'll probably randomly be making videos. lol.
Ash- I loved your videos, they were cool. The writing one was super sweet.

Uhm... I don't know what else to say.
-Emilie.

Edit.
By the way, I'm sooooo happy you're all back! I think now all we need is something super cool.
I think we should do another video thing. (addicted to filmmaking.)

Nat: Umm...hi?

Yup. I died. But I got better. ;)

I honestly don't have a lot to update you on. I'm currently in the midst of diploma exams - really stressful government exams that are worth 50% of my grade. So that's fun.

My parents are in Thailand, so I'm staying with my sister for 3 weeks. We've been working out at the gym every night, and it's actually really fun.

Guess what?! I've actually been writing!!!! I know, it's crazy, I haven't written in so long. But I fully outlined the first part of my book, and it's almost done! YAY!!!

Also - I got drunk for the first time last weekend. Haha, I've been tipsy before, just never really drunk. And I have to say - it was incredibly fun. :)

I made some videos - this one and this one. (the second one is about writing..)

Alright, I'm gonna go. Talk to you girls soon. :D

Cori: My plot is fitting together perfectly now.

The plot for Caged, I mean - not Skin Deep. I've been working out some of the finer points and now it's extremely complex, which is good in my opinion. I'll have things to keep driving the story forward with, unlike some of the simple plots that simply die out after a while (cough cough, TWILIGHT SAGA, cough cough).
Anyway, Caged is now kind of creepy and super sad. I'm not sure how the 'sad' element happened, since when the idea for my novel first popped into my head - I was like, almost twelve - it was just going to be a ton of fighting and stuff haha.
Now some characters are dying, there's a bit of romance, abuse and tons of racism (as in actual races, humans and demons)...It's a little strange, how as I got older the plot has gotten deeper and sadder.

Sage: Back from the dead...

I know I KNOW I SUCK BECAUSE I AM SO MIA WTF....

But I've been working on a script with Ned as I know she told you. I'm just posting to update you on what's going on, you know, the hip-haps.

Okay, so I have exams starting in a couple weeks so just know that I'm going to be MIA again, BUT I WILL RETURN WITH GUSTA AFTER.

Especially since I'm going to be all done with school as soon as the exams are done. Yes, you heard me correctly (read me correctly?) I have the second semester off.... to have surgery and work BUT NEVERMIND THAT JUST NOW.

I love you all soo much. Talk soon!

-Sagie

Kas: New Year Resolutions.

So, I may have been a bit MIA for the past few weeks. I tried for a few weeks to get everyone to post, and eventually I kind of just gave up. Then, it was kind of hard to work up the motivation to post when I felt like no one was even going to read it. So, I took a bit of an unplanned break from SAAWAKM.

But, I'm glad to see that some of you did come out of hiding while I was gone... Especially Ned. She deserves an Internet high five for taking over the insistant posting telling everyone to get on. :)

But, I am trying to think of new ways to get everyone online and posting. But it'll take me a few days to come up with some new challenge. However, in the mean time, I decided to update everybody on my life.

Heather and I did manage to write like half of a scene yesterday, haha. And hopefuly we'll work some more during this week. I'm working at my dad's tax office again, since it's tax season, and last year this is the time when we got the most work done, because I am pretty much confined to a computer everyday. So, hopefully that happens again this year.

My school schedule is pretty hilariously easy this semester. I'm taking 4 classes at my high school, and 2 online college classes. One of the college classes doesn't start until February though.

The schedule is...

1st Hour: Teacher's Aid
2nd Hour: Mentoring (which I don't actually go to, me and a friend go get food instead.)
3rd Hour: College Algebra (technically this is one of my online classes, I just get a sort of 'study hour' to work on it. I don't actually have to do anything if I don't want to.)
4th Hour: Teacher's Aid again, for the same teacher as first hour...
5th Hour: Concurrent (which is just saying 'she doesn't have to come this hour because shes taking a college class')
6th Hour: Job out. (So, I just get out to go to work.)

So right after 4th Hour I leave and go to work. It's so incredibly easy that I don't understand why I even need to be there. Oh well...

I don't think I've told any of you this before, but in 1 month and 5 days I turn 18! And i'm going with m older sister to get tattoos. :P We've been planning on getting Sister tattoos since I was like 11 and she was 15.

We picked out the quote about two years ago, and it is something we both really liked because it symbolizes the way we treat each other really well. Even though we are 4 years apart, we've spent our entire lives having to deal with some diffcult things as a team. And despite our age difference there are still a lot of things that I've had to teach her or give her advice about, and vice versa. She's never treated me as a younger sister, in my opinion, because she has never treated me as though she knows anything more than I do.

Anyways, we also have a little sister, and because she is so much younger than us (7 years younger than me, and 11 years younger than my older sister) The quote of the tattoo doesn't apply to her as much, so we wanted to incorporate her into it as well. So, I had the idea of putting three birds into the picture. The smallest representing my little sister, the middle representing me, and the largest representing my older sister.

Here's a picture of the two options i came up with. I like the one without the names better, but my older sister like the names one. So we still have to decide on that...

So, yeah. I really like it.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to get my Harry Potter tattoo on my birthday, or if I want to wait a while between the two. I decided to get the HP quote "Words are our most inexhaustible source of magic." on my side. I know it's from the movies, not the books, but it really ties in writing as well. I'm going to put something else along with it, like a snitch or the deathly hallows symbol. I doubt it will be either of those, though, because they're really over done. I just can't decide what to put.

I know this is getting to be a really long post, but I dont care. haha.

So, the last thing I want to share with all of you, is my new year resolutions. I have 6, and I hopefully can get all them done. :P I'll explain a few of them better in a few days...

1.       Read 50 books.
2.       Finish silver.
3.       Lose 40 pounds.
4.       Start using my DeviantArt account and my new camera.
5.       Do a college life YouTube Vlog.
6.       Die my hair bright red.
So.. I now challenge all of you to tell me your New Year resolutions and update me about your life, no matter how boring!. :D and.... GO!

-K

Cori: I'm sick. Again.

I have a really bad immune system - not enough white blood cells, or whatever the doctor said the last time I had a checkup (about three years ago). So I get sick a lot, which sucks.
That's why I haven't been doing ANYTHING since Friday. I didn't do my oral exam for French (I JUST REMEMBERED THAT! DAMN!), I haven't studied at all, I haven't written anymore of Skin Deep, or Caged for that matter, and I feel like hell.
But whatever. Even though my fingers are numb, for whatever reason, I'm going to go ahead and write anyway. But not Skin Deep (sorry, Ned). I need to spend some time with Altrius. I miss him...

Nicole: Yep, I really suck.

I think I've been MIA for more than a month and I'm really sorry. I did have an excuse because of exams, and then it was Christmas madness, but then a lot of it was laziness. Another reason is I've had a complete lack of motivation and inspiration to write for a long time now, and then I come on here and it makes me feel cruddy because I haven't been writing.

I haven't even been reading lately. I don't think I've read a book just for myself and not for school in over a year, which is pretty sad. So now I'm trying to change that! I haven't had any real fresh ideas for writing, but I've thought of an interesting character. And as far as reading goes, I really want to read The Hunger Games before it comes out in the movies, for whoever's already read it: is it good?

I have a few new current obsessions too: collecting movies, I've recently started watching Community and I love it, I've been watching The Secret Circle and American Horror Story. As far as updates, that's about it! I really hope I get more motivated, it's just been hard to even find time lately because I've been working so much... boo.

Ned: Update

Pulled 'Let's Just Pretend' down from inkpop.
I still believe Inkpop is a wonderful site, but I'm thinking its more of a place you put first drafts after they have been completed. That way you can write a second draft with help. It was just annoying that people kept telling me that they couldn't see my story going anywhere when I know exactly where its going.
I found myself, in the last two days going over and over the first two chapters without being able to move on. Ugh! It was very frustrating. So, for now I'll keep it offline. If any of you would still like to read it, comment and I'll email it to you.
Sounds good?
Kay awesome.
-Ned.

Ned: Is everyone dead?

Like honestly, I know its hard to get on sometimes, but I feel like you all died!
Not to mention I've seen some of you on facebook. If you have time to be on facebook you have time to be on SAAWAKM! Seriously.
Just open a new tab! lol. You don't even have to post, just comment on something!
-Ned

Oh p.s We got a new fish!!! His name is Valentine! <3<3<3

Cori has named the fish!

I have officially dubbed the blue one Jackalavembella. Once, I had a blue fish whose name was that, and when he died nobody wanted to throw him out because his bowl was all icky and the water was getting dirty. So we left him there for about three months.
During that time, he eventually turned black. Then, during the second month, he turned gray. During the third month he turned white, and then his eyes melted out =D! After that we finally flushed him down the toilet - it was disgusting. x)
So in honor of my blue fish, I shall name OUR blue fish Jackalavembella. The red one is named Chester, because I used to name my Mexican jumping beans that, and because that's the name of my old music teacher (he's dead now). The yellow one is Riku.
Awesome, right? xD

Wednesday, January 4, 2012

Ned: MY FISH ARE GONE!

I just noticed that when I changed the way the blog looked my fish disappeared!
Don't fret, I fixed the problem.

Cori: Finished my drawing!

Does it look okay? It's a close up of my MC's eye (from Skin Deep), complete with an eyelid, an eyebrow, and hair. xD!

Anyway...On my way here to SAAWAKM, I nearly typed in blogpot instead blogspot =D! That could've been a complete disaster, haha.

I finally figured out a beginning to chapter one in Skin Deep. Before, I was starting it all wrong, but I've got it all written down. Now all I need to do is finish the chapter, edit it, perhaps rewrite it, and then post it up on inkpop =D!

By the way...Ned, could you NOT mention inkpop on Facebook? My parents disapprove of me sharing my work online, so that would be bad and I probably wouldn't be allowed to be on here either if they found out. So don't mention inkpop; my mom checks my book of faces every night.

Ned: Hehe, Characters.

ALRIGHT.
So so far I've written a prologue and first chapter of 'Let's Just Pretend' I love the way it works.
If you wanna read it... (and I know you wanna read it.) go to my inkpop and its up there.

Basically what its about is a girl named Maxine Howell and her friends all start their tenth year in high school and surprise, surprise, there is a new student.
Nicolas Valentine. He's gorgeous and he's from New York City. He doesn't believe in ghosts, magic or anything that can't be proven.
Down the street from where Max lives is this super creepy house that hold so many secrets you'd think it would explode.
Somehow, Max lets slip that she saw a ghost in the old house and Nicolas rolls his eyes at her. For the next two days he makes stupid ghost jokes at her until she's so fed up with it she says she'll take him into the old house and he can see for himself.
Her entire group of friends make a night of it. They all bring sleeping bags and lanterns and flashlights.
What they find is so much more than a little ghost.

So do you wanna know what they find?
Or should I keep that spoiler to myself?

I'll wait before I tell you.
Alright.
Well before I go I've decided to give you a character list. You know, so you can drool over my wondrous boys and love my marvelous girls.

Max Howell.
She's sixteen. She's got dark hair and light charcoal colored eyes. Family is the most important thing to her, and she has a lot of it. Three siblings, her grandfather and both her parents. All living under the same roof. Max hates being wrong and loves being active. Mostly she enjoys running and biking.

Claudia Banks.
Also sixteen, Claudia has long blond hair and blue eyes. Claud is super preppy. She's a little hyper and happy almost all the time. Claud is Max's best girl friend. They're both the 'glass is half full' kinda girls.

Phoebe Hawk
Still sixteen... actually they're all sixteen, so unless I say otherwise, just assume that they're sixteen. Anyway, Phoebe has brown hair that stops just under her chin. She doesn't talk much but when she does people listen. She's smart, and most of the time she knows what she's saying.

Rosaline Jacobs
Most commonly know as Rosey. She's got soft red hair and faded emerald eyes. She's small, but don't let that fool you, she doesn't let that stop her from being a bad ass. Or at least she tries to be one. When it really comes down to it she's a sweet girl, though she'll kick your ass if you mess with her friends.

Daniel Beck
Also known as Danny, he's got brown hair and blue eyes. He's tall. If Rosey is the shortest in the group standing half a foot under everyone, Danny is definitely the tallest. He's probably a foot and a half taller than Rose. He's usually trying to make someone laugh, or get into some sort of trouble.

Aiden Hanley
As Danny's best friend Aiden is a sweetheart. He's got black hair in an average boy cut and brown eyes. He's sort of adorable, the guy you'd go to if you needed a little cheering up. He's also the geek. He loves reading and loves school. He's full of interesting facts.

Troy Montel
Troy is Max's best guy friend. No. There isn't a love triangle. I hate those things. Anyway, he's got dirty blond hair and dark blue eyes. Like the ocean. He's sort of the 'leader' of the group. He makes sure no one does anything to stupid, and puts everyone in their right place. If Troy doesn't approve of something, its probably not worth doing.

and Finally,

Nicolas Valentine.
Nickname, Nico. He's got dark brown hair and dark eyes. Here's a quote describing his eyes.
"Oh, I could just get lost in his eyes" -Rosey.
You get it? Basically, he's hot. He's from a big city, so he's still trying to adjust to life in Specks, Oregon. He's cool, but he's also a little to mysterious for Max's liking. He doesn't talk about home life, and he never talks about friends or anything back in New York. What's the truth? Fine. Spoiler Alert, Nico had an older brother named Theo. He was only older by a year. He'd come out to Nico a while ago and Nico was open minded about it. He still loved his brother, and for a while, nothing changed. Than Theo had come out to his father. His father was not as open minded. He'd shot Theo in the chest.
So now, Nico's father is in prison, his brother is dead and he's moved all the way out here to basically nowhere with his mother who is to depressed to do anything.
And that, my friends is why Nico doesn't talk about his home life.

Soo... those are my characters. The entire story is narrated by Max, and its a very magical book.

Tell me what you think.
-Emilie.

Cori: SAAWAKM LOOKS AMAZING!

Yay, somebody added the "Contact Us" page for me! I think we should all add our separate emails, just in case; if you don't want to, that's fine too haha.

But oh my God, Ned...YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB ON THE NEW LOOK! IT LOOKS TOTALLY AWESOME! I love it, and I'm super glad that you'll be posting a ton with me xD!

Anyway...I drew an eye about half an hour ago, and I wanted to show you guys how it turned out. What do you think? I think it looks cool, lol.

Do you like it? =D! There's a few mistakes, like the slight bump in the middle-center of the eye, at the top, but I can fix them all with an eraser and my art pens and pencils. So...yeah. Thoughts?

Ned: INKPOP is MAGICAL

I know some of you are already on there, and if you are, add me. lol
I'll post a link to my profile.
Alright. Now, I've posted the prologue of 'Let's Just Pretend'

My new years resolution is to make SAAWAKM more active again. SO WAKE UP! WAKE UP!
Alright. Now, I must be off, but you should all add me on INKPOP and stuff.
Kay bye.
-EMILIE.

EDIT: Oh yeah, also, I change the look of SAAWAKM. Let me know if you like it.
Also, should we have a twitter?! Would we tweet? I think I might every once and again.

Kamie: HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year everyone! Today is my day to post and I don't have much to say but hello! How ish everyone? And how was your Christmas? I got a microscope! Which is awesome for me! :D So yeah, what's up everyone? I'm actually thinking of trying a new outlook of writing with my friend... hm... we'll see if it'll work out. We've tried to write down our "verbal book" for awhile now, however we might actually be able to get somewhere with it for once in our life. :) So yeah? How's writing going for all of ya'll?

~Kamiella Maze

Ohmygod! Ned is writing again?!

Like an actual story. Yeah.

Alright well I'll tell you guys more later but for now here's a cover and a short pitch.

Maxine Howell lives in Specks Oregon. A small town where everyone knows everyone and the newspaper reads more like a gossip magazine.
Only a block away from where Max lives is the Merlin House. A mansion that no one has lived in for years and for obvious reason. The place is haunted. Max saw the ghost herself.
When Nicolas Valentine, the new boy, rolls his eyes at the rumors Max tries to bite her tongue. Somehow he convinces her into venturing in to the old house again, and what they find is unbelievable.

OH YEAH.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
