Heather: The Blurbs.

                     Sophia's Story

Sophia has fallen from grace. With her late brother's acts of treason, her grieving family is forced to leave their palace residence and go back to the large city home they can no longer afford.
For the first time in her life, Sophia's eyes are opened to the world around her. The streets are swarming with half starved, penniless commoners, that spare her every courtesy they can afford in memory of her brothers deeds.
Rumours of a resistance spreads through the streets like wildfire, and Sophia quickly finds herself in the midst of the the rebels.
Almost instantly, she finds herself tangled in a ploy to kill the king. She must fight for a way back to into court, an invitation to the grandest ball of the century, fight for her new family; and seduce the handsome Prince Tobias. But what's a girl to do, when she has a jealous princess and mindless assassins on her tail?
For the first time in her life, it's time to fight.

            Alexandra's Tale

Alexandra is a fighter. A palace servant and a woman, she has no place with a bow, and certainly not a sword. She keeps her practice a secret, to all but her closest friend Calder, a lord with a fierce nature, and kind heart. But when Calder is killed by the palace guards in an attempt to kill the king, Alexandra is shocked; devastated.
After eavesdropping on a hidden conversation between nobles, she realizes exactly what it is she needs to do. Dressed as a man, and following a harsh, angry young lord bent on revenge, Alexandra finds herself fighting for survival amongst the rebels; and quickly rising in stature with her skill of the sword. But how does she keep herself a secret under the scrutiny of hundreds? More importantly, how does one plot the death of a king hundreds of leagues away?
For the first time in her life Alexandra has the power to make a difference, and of one thing, she is certain.
It's time to fight.

Both sides of a kingdom in pieces. :)
