Grace Fletcher knows this tale by heart. She’s been “strange” since she was thirteen, when she began hunting the things that go bump in the night. She hopes that relocating with her mother will be the end to her midnight escapades in cemeteries, her late night runs for holy water and the piles of exorcism books in her closet. Besides, what bad things could be lurking in Applerose, Georgia?
Turns out quite a bit. Vampires, zombies, werewulfs, and other unspeakable things are flocking to Applerose, lurking around every corner. No one can exactly say why, but Grace has some suspicion it has something to do with her. Scratch that, definitely more than suspicions after being attacked by a beautiful blue eyed stranger who claims to be the only demon on her side.
It's tempting to ignore all the signs and try to be normal. Settle into Applerose High, make some friends, maybe even date a few cute boys…but that's not an option. Because the demons have plans for Grace. The monsters have decided to hunt back—and now she has to figure out who to trust, who to fight, and where to run.
Grace is going to need every inch of her wit and training to stay alive. One thing’s for sure—if she doesn’t stop them soon, there’ll be hell to pay…literally.
