Jessica ;; Corruption {giving my story a shot}

Okay so I just joined and I thought "hey, maybe they'd like to see my writing" so I am going to give you an excerpt from my current Supernatural story. Yes it has werewolves and its very cliche. Nat is my current editor lol so blame her for the grammar mistakes. :)

“Christmas,” she breathed. Meet Summer Nicolosa. Her tall, 5’8” frame stepped out into the frosty air. Soft cottony snowflakes found a home in her vivid red hair as they drifted down from the sky. She closed the door behind her and locked it. Pulling black leather gloves on, Summer turned towards her black pickup and slowly strode down the icy walkway towards it. She had to get to work on time today or she would defiantly lose her job. Not something she wanted to do so close to Christmas. As she hurried to her truck she was completely oblivious to the dark figure watching her. He stood in the trees by her fence. His warm breath making a cloud in the air every time he breathed out. He frowned as he watched her. She had no idea that the events fate had planned for today would change hers and his lives forever. Not necessarily in a good way either.

A growl split the air and the sound of raucous cheering sounded on the other side of the country from Summer. The sound could be heard coming from deep in the depths of a mansion. It was large and could hold hundreds of people. Which it did. Although humans per sea isn’t exactly the right term. Monsters are more like it. The halls and rooms of the marble mansion were filled with one of the most feared and misunderstood monsters. Werewolves. Werewolves and shape-shifters are what resided in the mansion. Another vicious growl shredded the coolness of the night. The sound came from one of the ballrooms in the palace. It had been turned from a ballroom into a fighting ring. The ring was oval shaped and large in size. The floor was covered with sand, dirt and blood. Around the ring ran two lengths of barbed wire. IT was to prevent the fight from leaving the ring.

Inside the ring stood two half naked men. One of them snarled and smirked at his opponent. He was a tall man. Standing 6’2” with shaggy blond hair that fell into his eyes. His eyes were a striking ice blue and they held a mysteriousness nobody had been able to figure out. He snarled again and stood up taller. His muscles started to expand. Adding another few inches to his height and even more muscle to his already well muscled body. His opponent was doing the same. He snapped his teeth at the younger wolf and started to circle around him. He was still standing on two legs. Half way between wolf and man. He was about to lunge at the kid when a voice outside the ring stopped him. His head shot up and he hissed between his canines. “Tristan, get your ass up here, The Reverend wants to chat,” a rough voice called out. Reaver. He was Tristan’s side kick. Or at least that’s what all the wolves and most of the shifters thought. Reaver had always insisted other wise but they knew he was.

He shrunk back to normal and with a smirk he hopped out of the ring. He didn’t bother grabbing his shirt but instead jogged up the stairs to stand by Reavers side. “I was gonna win you know,” he said with a glare and punched Reaver before heading out and into the hall. They travelled through a few marbled hallways and up and down a few stairs before stopping outside a large oak door. Tristan took a deep breath before pushing open the door. It was pitch black in the room. The only light was that from the hall light. Tristan and Reaver stepped in, looking around. All that could be seen in the little light was a large mahogany desk, a medium sized black wooden cross on the wall and the silhouette of a man. A largely muscled man. The Reverend. The Reverend pointed to a file on the desk and Tristan picked it up. He pulled out a photo and raised an eyebrow. Showing it to Reaver. If The Reverend hadn’t been there, Reaver most defiantly would have let out an appreciative whistle. The girl was damn good lookin. “Bring me the girl,” The Reverand said.
